The Institute of Kuchipudi Classical Dance (ICKD), founded by Bhavana Reddy, a globally recognized young Kuchipudi dance artiste, operates as a dynamic virtual platform, that brings  together disciples from across the world—including the UK, USA, Dubai, Singapore, and Europe through structured online programs, interactive live classes, and evolving digital learning tools, students receive consistent, high-quality training  across geographies.

Bhavana Reddy has had the rare privilege of learning, and imbibing this art form under the direct guidance of her parents, Drs. Raja Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy—legendary Kuchipudi dancers, gurus, choreographers, and Padma Bhushan and Padma Sri awardees. She carries forward their rich legacy with a deep sense of responsibility and commitment, presenting traditional pedagogy to modern audiences and bridging the Guru-Shishya Parampara in a modern context. Her teaching philosophy nurtures a diverse community of learners - from beginners to advanced practitioners and from young children to adults - fostering technical excellence, cultural understanding and artistic expression.

ICKD hosts annual camps and student showcases, offering students opportunities to participate both virtually and in person. These platforms enable them to showcase their talent, evolve as dancers  and lastly gain stage experience in the classical art form of Kuchipudi. The institute actively promotes inclusivity, encourages passion and curiosity, ensuring access for dedicated students irrespective of economic or geographical constraints, with one to two students awarded 100% tuition support  and participation in the annual showcase.

ICKD’s virtual and international concerts have been inaugurated by distinguished dignitaries and representatives, including the Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, USA, Smt. Sripriya Ranganathan; Chairman of Sangeet Natak Akademi, Dr. Sandhya Purecha; and Mr. Leo Spreksel, Advisory Board Member, Ministry of Culture, Netherlands. The San Francisco–based annual concerts have been inaugurated by the Consuls General of India, Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad and Dr. K. Srikar Reddy. The institute has also received letters and video messages of appreciation from the Hon’ble Minister of Culture, Government of India, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, and ICCR President, Shri Vinay Sahasrabuddhe.

The Institute’s initiatives have been supported by organizations such as the University of SiliconAndhra and the Bay Area Telugu Association, along with recognition from international media platforms including Virijallu Radio, India Currents Magazine, Narthaki.com, The Statesman, and The Hindu.

Select students have had the opportunity to perform alongside their guru at prestigious venues and events, including NCPA Mumbai, the Telugu Association of Southern California (Los Angeles), the Tribal Museum in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, and programs associated with the Election Commission of India in New Delhi, among others.
